So which is the best program, I have MacAfee, but it runs out today, so I need a new one and instead of just extending the shizzle, I thought i'd ask the resident techies what they think is best value for money.

Well, AV-Comparatives ranks Kaspersky as the best AntiVirus solution: http://www.av-comparatives.org/

Kaspersky Internet Security has a good firewall too: http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/kaspersky_internet_security

Bitdefender total Security is the best security suite, in my opinion. Good antivirus engine + an excellent firewall makes it a no 1 pick.

I had Kaspersky on my laptop (it came with it) and liked it. When it comes to free anti-virus, though... I always use Avast. Last I knew, it was rated higher than AVG Free.
