Natural Evil

I always seem to hear the "God gives us free will" argument as the reason that theists use to explain why god doesn't stop people killing each other.
However, I have never seen an argument that tries to explain why god doesn't interfere to stop "natural evil" occurring, such as someone falling off a cliff, or drowning, or even dieing from illnesses. Any of our resident theists care to try and explain?

I'm sure the Christian "free will" is just an illusion, as "God has a plan for us all".

Did I tell you about an arguement a pair of Jehovahs Witnesses attempted to use on me involving feces?
Long story short, Jehovah apparantly didn't want his followers to shit inside their tent and prefered them digging trenches outside to do so in instead.
Apparantly this was God, through Jehovah, teaching the followers about disease and bacteria.

How did you determine that falling off a cliff was an evil thing?
Really? Maybe if it was an evil plane, like in the D&D setting, you'd fall off an evil cliff.

What's funny about that is that the answer is the same if there is no god at all. I'm sure the asswipes never consider that, though.

Death may seem evil, but it's not, even if the death was caused by evil means, death is a natural occurrence in life and all will experience it. It would be better if all died peaceably in their sleep at an old age, but that would cause problems, such as over population, hunger and ect., then It would create a problem for you, why does this happen, car wrecks no one dies, people fall off cliffs no one dies, no one dies of illnesses and ect.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
