Quantum theory is not hard to understand if you lack a base in math. I have a lot of "learning difficulties" around math, but I have learned about quantum for many years...

I agree with Leo's quote of Feynman. It is strange stuff, even if you do grasp it. I think it is a fascinating thing, the current edge of scientific knowledge.

Try 'Introducing Quantum Theory' (one of a series of 'Introducing.......' ), or 'Quantum Theory, a very short introduction' (again, one of a series ).

From what I remember (I read it a few years ago) Brian Greene's "The Elegant Universe" introduces some ideas from quantum physics, it's also a good introduction to string theory (And no mathematical knowledge assumed!)
