The thing is, Mehmet's posts only have as much power as anyone gives them. You may not agree with him, but you can simply ignore him. By choosing to respond to it, you further the derailment.

Just do what I do. Don't respond except to throw a light jab is way every once in awhile.Wink

You have been. I don't like having to tell anyone off, but you guys really should know better. That's my personal opinion on it and not anything from staff. I don't like this at all. If he were a troll and someone not just sharing his true opinions, no matter how distasteful, I would feel differently. However, I don't think he is a troll, so I'm peeved that he was ganged up on like the uncool kid in a schoolyard.

Okay, yeah, making this thread was an asshole move. I've been told that.

Still, there's nothing in the rules saying I can't call someone out on their thread derailment.

And stop making out like this is some bullying fest. For fuck sake Mehmet is a big boy, if I seriously thought he couldn't take what I was saying I wouldn't of made this thread. The fact that other people have noticed his over-eagerness to be racist lately is not my problem.
