It is not easy at all to control our feelings but I believe that we are free to choose our feelings. If we are sad can we do something to make us happy?

Especially when we get angry at something, it is very hard to control my anger sometimes. It is not "easy" but is something we can choose to change, I know its not easy but its possible.

We don't choose our feelings, that isn't the choice. The choice we must make is what to do with those feelings. Should on act of them or not?

I agree with you but I managed to learned to tell myself things that changes my perspective so maybe it is not about choosing feelings but changing our thoughts just like changing our actions is always possible. I practice that a lot more as I grown older and it have changed my perspective on a lot of things and my anger or sadness.

Quote:I believe in true freedom that means that everyone have a right to believe in what they believe in. We were created to be free and I do not agree that anyone have a right to tell anyone else to believe in something or to not believe in something.

What do you mean by 'right'? I enjoy and deeply appreciate a range of rights. They based on custom and law,and protected custom and rule of law,but are not innate. If you think such rights are innate please describe the external moral authority for such rights.

By whom or what? As far as I can tell, nature is indifferent.

Are you a theist who has accidently stumbled onto an atheist forum?

If we are not free then what are we? Unfree? I believe in the freedom of choice. It is not hypocritical to believe in the freedom of choice.

I do not in fact believe that every choice is for the greater good but the fact that we all have a choice is always there.

I was referring to the definition of rights as an adjective according to the dictionary.com. If I should start using a different source for my definition please help me with that.

Rights
adjective
in accordance with what is good, proper, or just: right conduct.

We can type all day and be picky about which definition fits our topic but is it really worth it?
