RE: fear "the Empire of heaven" ?
It's no less plausible than what's in the Bible!

Only to equate two absurdities. We don't think of a guy like this as normal, but there's no real difference between this and what is preached in any church on Sunday by people often thought to be the lynchpins of society.

Obvious troll or someone who has a friend with the ability to prescribe narcotics. This demonstration of weapons grade stupidity must elicit pain requiring a constant drip of morphine.

Um..... um... what's the word... it's on the tip of my tongue... OH YEAH! Evidence. Got any?

(Btw, Galileo was not imprisoned for looking for exoplanets or aliens but for contradicting Church doctrine on geocentrism. Given the telescopes he was working with at the time, as they had only recently been invented, he wouldn't have found any exoplanets or aliens even if he were looking right at them. See )

I remember something about it being his assertion of a vacuum that tipped the balance, because the church thought there could not be a vacuum as god was omni present, but my knowledge is from long ago and not direct, If you have details, or could point me in the right direction to direct knowledge I would much appreciate it. thanks

Galileo has nothing to do with exo-planets, i.e. planets in other star systems. Galileo did observe other planets, in our own star system. Not Galileo, but Bruno predicted exo-planets. Essentially, Bruno reasoned "what is here is there"; our solar system harbors small dim planets, orbiting a central bright star; ipso facto, all those stars seen on earth's skies may also harbor as-yet-unseen dim planets, too. 400 years later, Bruno was vindicated. Meanwhile, Bruno was murdered (burned at the stake). (Bruno also conjectured aliens, and even advanced Godlike Super-Aliens.)

From earth, humans have sent several "active SETI" signals, to other star systems. If aliens ever receive those signals, then they will know that an intelligent species sent them, because those signals will convey structured organized intelligible meaningful information. Meanwhile, have humans themselves ever received similar signals, characterized by those qualities? Yes, allegedly -- for ages, some humans have persistently reported "Religious Prophetic experiences", during which they telepathically perceive structured organized intelligible meaningful information, from "God(s) in heaven":
Quote:Muhammad, Muhammad...
Jibril, transmitting on behalf of Allah, the Lord of worlds...
of the Empire of heaven...
One possible explanation, for those reports, of alleged telepathic Contacts, from "God(s) in heaven", is advanced Aliens, employing 'Their' own "active SETI" space communications. From earth, humans have already communicated through space, across inter-planetary distances. Godlike Aliens, millions to billions of years more advanced than humans, could communicate across inter-stellar distances, to humans on earth. And, advanced Alien space communications, adapted to input information directly to humans (without needing them to build radio dishes), could account for Religion on earth.

Evidence? Muhammad claimed decades of Contact events, from "God in heaven". If Muslims demand belief for those claims, then they should have to provide proof -- "no tithes to Mosques without proof of God Existing". However, if atheists demand dis-belief against those claims, then they too should meet the same standard, and provide dis-proof, that no advanced Alien super-civilizations Exist, anywhere near our sector of space. Logically, until hard evidence emerges, one way or another, the only legitimate response, to the claims of Muhammad (and all the Prophets), is to be a-gnostic ("i don't know").

Nobody can demand either belief for, or dis-belief against, the repeatedly reported claims, of dozens of humans, worldwide, over the past several thousand years, without providing proof positive, for or against. Logically, nobody can demand belief "for free"; but nobody can demand dis-belief "for free" either. For thousands of years, dozens of allegedly "Chosen" humans, have repeatedly reported strikingly similar claims, of receiving structured organized intelligible meaningful audio-video messages, from "God in heaven". Those reports are scientifically possible, plausible, perhaps even probable -- the existence of aliens has been posited, by the most educated human minds, for thousands of years. Now, other explanations may also account for their claims. But, at this moment, "the logical jury is still out", and nobody can demand anything, about the Existence or otherwise, of advanced Godlike Aliens in heaven. 'They' might Exist, and if so, then 'They' may have been space-messaging earthlings, for ages.

Neither belief for, nor dis-belief against, are logically warranted, with the current limits, of human knowledge. Advanced Aliens may Exist; "Allah, the Lord of worlds" may be a Kardashev III-IV super-civilization, somewhere in space. Or not; but no human knows; any human claiming definitive knowledge, without definitive proof, is being bogus, and their un-backed claims are hokum. (If "the Empire of heaven" actually Exists, then 'They' will exert extreme and supra-ordinary influence, over humanity, forevermore. If humans actually have advanced space neighbors, then humans will wind up confronting that fact, in some extreme way, eventually. Wisdom warns, "better safe than sorry", "forewarned is forearmed", "look before leaping [to conclusions]", "never say never".)

And I might have an invisible, man-eating cheeseburger sitting in my living room. Should I prepare for that, too?
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
