Why do you think we are atheists? Because unlike you we have read the bible WITHOUT magic daddy beer goggles on....

Well I hate to break the news to you but there have been theists (and atheists) around for longer than the bible. Abraham didnt have a bible to read and so the beer goggles thing doesnt apply to him.

Like I said in reply to your question...If the first people who postulated an invisible friend were right, then why are you not worshiping their god? I agree with your premise about the first people.

I am worshipping their God. And they didnt have a bible.

No libraries in the Garden of Eden.

There's no evidence that Abraham and that lot are anything but a fairytale, so your point is irrelevant. As to you "worshipping their god" when Brian was on about the first god, is wrong. The Babylonian gods had come before yours was even retconned to monotheism, and it's a rip off from Zoroastrianism. Your particular mythology was not the first and it definitely isn't the last.

Fucking priceless. If I could go back in time it would be to share beer with the inhabitants of modern day Iraq and watch the 'reality' show of your God creating the Earth (nevermind the fact that we're already here getting drunk). Talk about a no talent celebrity fuck. For drama I'll get a jack-off to promise to gut his kid on a special rock. In a future episode, this will also be the same place that another jack-off causes his horse to leave a print upon his ascension.

Modern day Christians want conflageration so that a third temple can be built on the same rock; otherwise, they will never experience the rapture.

Sound foolish?

Even though atheism simply means without belief in god.?

Suffering doesn't follow that there is no god, true. But if it's shown/proven that the universe can come into existence without a god (which does have support), then that would follow that a god was never required and so god's very existence would be pointless. It wouldn't disprove god, just prove that he/it isn't necessary.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Still looking at my fingertip while I am pointing at the moon.

I dont give one rats ass if you want to call your god Farfromtruthen, Marduke, Thor, or Pink Unicorn. I don't even care if you want to claim they are all the same.

THERE HAS NEVER BEEN OR EVER WILL BE ANY SUCH THING AS A NON MATERIAL THINKING BEING!

"God" is nothing but an argument from ignorance and nothing more than you projecting your own wishes on the world around you.

Volcanos were never gods despite people beliving it. The sun was never a god despite people beliving it, and your pet invisible friend claim is no fucking different. You are merely one human in human history who has fallen for their own ignorance.

Unfortunately for humanity this gap filling is a social norm and one people like me have to constantly battle needlessly when the world has bigger problems to face such as polution, famine, bigotry and violence.

I cant stop you from believing, but you are not going to sell your superstition her without being questioned.

Now, I will give you the same challenge I would give any Muslim, Hindu, Jew or whatever. Go take your god theory and get it emperically proven and get a patent on it, and win a Nobel Prize in science proving your god theory, then we can talk. I'm sure you will have as much luck as everyone else now and in history has had.

And that rat bastard Hawkins went and pointed out this inconvient reality. How dare he!

Well, it's refreshing to see a ''real atheist'' making a definite assertion that God doesnt exist.

So many quasi-atheists these days dont have the guts to come out from behind the good old...lucky, lazy, Zero Burden Of Proof curtain.

You are a fucking idiot.

If someone claiming to be a scientist said they could make a perpetual motion machine would you blindly accept it because you cant prove they cant?

Now see if you can spot the pattern.

"Allah is real because you cant prove he isn't"
"Yahweh is real because you cant prove he isnt"
"Vishnu is real because you cant prove he isnt"

Thoughts are an outcome of a materal process and cannot exist without a materal process. THAT IS A SCIENTIFIC FACT, beyond all religious or political labels. Just like if you don't have a physical car, you wont speed because you have nothing to drive.

What makes sense in our entire human history is that people invent gods and gods are merly products of humans projecting their desires on the world around them. You are not special nor is your pet diety claim.

Right that about sums up the stupid logic I see all over the theist world. It is true by defualt until someone else disproves it. If that is the case, I'll have to send Angelina Jolie a thank you card for the blow job she gave me.

For people trying to figure out why this wouldn't work;
The more powerful the magnets the more force required to keep them in place. If a magnet is too powerful it will either force itself or the other magnet out of its binds but if something is strong enough to keep both in place it is strong enough to resist the forces of both magnets and thus does not move.
