Another newbie

Hello, folks.
Jaywalking the internet, looking for a place to chat that appeals to me. Thought that I'd try here. I'm a life-long atheist, misanthrope, humanist, liberal (J.S.Mill variety) and "left-wing".
Doing a Masters in Philosophy at the University of St Andrews, specialising in ethics.
I have my own [removed link], and stuff. Less real-time, more place-to-dump-my-thoughts.

Hello, RC.... you'll be a welcome antidote to the sudden infestation of jesus freaks which have appeared. I'm not sure if that is because its a full moon or if the mental asylums discharge people near the end of the month to make room for new arrivals.
Anyway, I'm sure you have much more to say of interest than they do.
