Hopefully such a mis-conception isn't supported by that many atheists themselves!
They'd have to be seriously brainwashed (or mad), it would be really sad :S

I think an atheist would have a better understanding of morals than anyone else. Because he is not simply following a set of morals dictated to them by some one or some religion. This si something I really used to look upon with envy even when I was a practicing Muslim.

It depends, but yes - by definition they don't get warped at least by believing in the supernatural! They don't do things bad in the name of faith in God(s)!

The best way to kill a beast is to fight it from inside its belly.

Eh? Can you elaborate on what you are referring to? Or are you being completely literal and therefore off-topic?

If an atheist pretended to believe in God and got into the good graces and trust of the Christian community and then began a slow path toward doubt and skepticism and dragged people along with him(her) that would be the most effective way to "kill the beast" of religion, i.e. from its belly. If you want to change an organization, the best way to do it is to be a part of it and not an outsider.

I think I can kind of see where LEDO is coming from. But we have to make an assumption here, that all atheists want to preach and spread atheism in the same way as the church does or the Muslims do. Could that be a safe assumption?

Um....not in the way the 'church does' or 'Muslims do'!
Yes I want to spread atheism. But I'm not going to be an atheist equivalent of a Jehovah's witness or something like that lol. Ew. EvF |
