Time will tell if the mighty banhammer decide to fall upon you. It is you that have to show yourself worthy of remaining here, not us to you. Being condecendent about it like you are being now won't get you banned, but it doesn't gather sympaty either. We have members most controversial(theists and atheists), with outlandish ideas and the mods don't ban them.

I too extend the hand of welcome, though I decline to play up to the preconceptions of atheist behaviour evident in your intro, if you don't mind. I'm here to entertain but on my terms.

I wouldn't advise starting multiple threads based on the same topic, that is not a label issue, that is a spam issue. Best thing to do is to llok first and see if someone has already started one on that topic,

So far, from what I see from this website, it wont ban you unless you are spamming, trolling, or making threats, which is illegal even outside the web.

I used to be caltholic myself, my mother still is. Glad I left it, it simply ceased to make any sense. Took me almost a decade to leave all religion. Went from Catholic, to non church going Catholic, to agnostic diest, to finally agnostic atheist.

You seem like a reasonable sort of person. If you truly want, I think you can make a home here. But remember, everything costs something, even the good things.

Some prices are harder to pay than others. The forums you mention tend to be oriented towards subjects that are inherently polarizing and divisive. Religion, on the whole is that way, so I doubt that can be altogether avoided here, given the inclusion criterion. But I have always found atheists to be very open minded, accepting, and less judgmental — but then, they and I have many prejudices in common. I applaud your willingness to put boots on the ground and find out what other groups are like up close and personal. I do similar, belonging to groups that believe in the paranormal, channeled entities, and so on, and while I feel the methodology of hoping to gain understanding this way is significantly flawed, it seems a harmless way to explore the subject, and is probably in some ways very healthy.

I have never met any persecution on account of my differences, but then, I'm totally seckzors and got awwssum good peeplez skillz.

Last I checked getting along with anyone didn't have anything to do with being an atheist.

You've obviously got some preconceptions, I think that much is evident. Hell are you really surprised if you get banned from a Muslim forum when the first thing you do is go on about terrorism? I would of thought it would be common decency to get to know people before spouting ill thought out tripe at them.

Alas, not very many people on the internet have common decency right?

Atheism is simply the lack of belief in a god/gods.

That is ALL there is to it. If I had a penny for every time some christian came on here thinking that atheism was a religion, I'd be a millionaire by now.

Any ideas/worldviews/beliefs that we may have outside of that description are independent to each individual, and are not included with what atheism is or entails.

Atheism is not a religion.

Atheism is not a world view.

Atheists are not all the same.
