Vegetarians, Vegans, and Pescatarians

You could also think of it as an artificial bloating of the species that's not sustainable.

The 'smarter' seems to be mostly species destructive. Greed is unstoppable.

Before rice and potato farming enabled the support of large population compared to it's land mass there was a sustainable working natural balance. If that means anything Smile

I eat most anything that moves and most things that don't. I am a big fan of PETA.

Preparing & Eating Tasty Animals.

Here's a list of things I don't care for/won't eat;

1. Lima Beans
2. Insects

I have tried different insects / grubs in foreign lands, didn't care for any of them but they weren't horrible like Lima Beans. [Image: sick.gif]

I concur. They're tasty.

I myself don't care for specifically walkers prawn cocktail crisps.

Also I once tried scotch eggs stuffed with strawberry jam. That wasn't nice. Not as nice as when I tried curry sauce + fish mixed in my blackcurrent squash.

I also preferred my white chocolate + Peanut butter+ Tomato Sauce+ Apple Sauce on top of both some salami and pepperoni.

Seriously I did. I did prefer that. Scotch eggs stuffed with Strawberry Jam is just nasty.

BTW, don't get me wrong ... whilst I love meat, I also believe that the animals we eat should be treated humanely whilst alive and killed painlessly when it's decreed to be their time and I would be prepared to eat less and pay more for the privilege of eating humanely farmed meat. It also means I have a problem with eating lamb and veal ... oh I get over it (well for lamb) but it does bother me.

Not all vegans are PETA lovers. My best friend is Vegan and she hates PETA.

I love pitas, with meat in them. I have a tasty Kebab recipe that I use. PETA seems to be a little overzealous in their dealings with humans. I am anti GMO food and try to buy all organic. I go for the nitrite free meat, free range chicken, and eggs. Basically I agree with Kyu that we should be humane to the animals and then slay them quickly.

You can get a complete protein from a collection of fruits, nuts, and veggies but it is much easier to get it from meat. Soy has its complications, especially for men.

It is, however, healthier not to. The leaner source of protein you get, the better it is for your heart in the long run. There's a reason why heart disease plagues America. It's actually not that hard to get protein from other sources than meat as long as you don't become a vegetarian that just eats pizza, or pasta.

That's true Elionnwy, but unfortunately the two have been put together so much in the past and it's not a big secret that a large amount of Vegans are PETA members.

I may not agree with everything that PETA does, but I with them 100% when it comes to the fur trades and Seal beatings that take place in the North.
