You need to slow it down, dude. Post a few at a time. Save some for later.

I found this documentary to be deeply moving. The description from Wikipedia is a little misleading. It's about the conflict between very backward people, outside of mainstream society, coping as best they can with horrible problems, and being in some sense blamed for not coming up with better answers even when their answer was the best that they could do in trying to "do the right thing." It is about our modern world being forced upon people who aren't ready for it, didn't ask for it, and can't be expected to do anything but come out on the bottom, crushed by the weight of our world as a result.

Wikipedia Wrote:William Ward, who had been ill for years, was found dead one morning. Delbert was accused of killing him, perhaps by smothering. The prosecution's theory at trial was that Delbert had performed a mercy killing in order to put William out of his misery after a period of severe headaches and declining health.

This takes me into a world, that is both horrible, and funny (if that is the right word)

The BBC in the fifties sixties and seventies, still allowed film-makers to make make original programmes like this from Ken Russell

RE: The best documentary films
I'm into nature documentaries, and these ones are my absolute favorites:

When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
