I agree that Hitchens kills in that clip. I think D'Souza has a nearly impossible position to defend there. I watched a different debate of the two of them...

Then by all means, please post it. I don't think I've seen a debate where Hitchens hasn't held his own.

I won't say Hitchens doesn't hold his own, I think he does reasonably well. But I think D'Souza does quite well too, and in certain ways, a bit stronger than Hitchens.

Well, to be fair, he was undergoing a legal separation at the time.

As a secularist, I do not personally find anything wrong with his conduct. But, he is still married, and his relationship with another woman is unquestionably adulterous according to the god he worships. I wonder how he justifies this?

Why does he assume the Bible is a valuable book worth following? Do you think there are no good reasons to do so, that only an "idiot" would do so?

There is a huge difference between 'a valuable book worth following', which is really a matter of taste I happen to not share, and 'the inerrant word of God', which is sheer lunacy.

How other people answer them, okay. But when other people try to force those answers (and their implications) on others, then there is a problem. Also, if god were self evident then parents wouldn't need to indoctrinate their children in the vital early period of childhood.
