Negative. Occult by definition is: that which is hidden. Meaning, knowledge. It's been perverted by Hollywood, online dictionaries & the like, thus leaving people to believe in such silly things like ghosts, etc.

I am as big a skeptic as you'll ever meet. Even in magick, it's the science & art of the mind & uses one's will to change his/her environments. Purely psychodrama & nothing supernatural.

I could explain this, but it would be a "wall-o-text". Therefore, I'd suggest watching this video to help explain my point instead, that has zero filler & is well done.

Thank you! I believe in the free-market, capitalism & a stateless society. Below is a little rant on the topic that I recently made on the book of faces. The main crux of the post was on why I don't vote & why I don't believe others should either.

-----

***ATTENTION***
I did not watch the debate, nor did I have any desire to. The idiocy that plagues this nation is only fueled by that which comes out of the bureaucrats mouth. The notion that a leader is needed is asinine, too. A leader? Where exactly are you going that you're unable to get there on your own? Republicans & democrats are the same. Both wish to control things & somehow think that laws & that in which they find "moral" & "just" should be legislated across the board & everyone should adhere to said laws. Who gives another person the right to say what the next person should do with the fruits of their labor? No one!

Democrats & liberals, a large majority which are atheists, have given up one cult (religion) & replaced it with another (the state/government). The mentality which advocates theft (i.e. taxation), I vehemently despise! Just because it's government committing these atrocious crimes does not somehow negate the fact that it is still theft. To take from someone without their consent & threaten them with acts of violence or to be locked in a cage unless they adhere to it, is criminal! You say it's not? By all means, enlighten me as to how it's not! Because everyone must do this & some are okay with it? This somehow makes it "okay" for the person who would rather choose how to spend their own money to be forced into behaving accordingly by way of coercion? If you believe this to be true you're an enabler & you're justifying theft in the name of your god...

The state/government!

I do not wish for people to be forced into doing anything against their will. This is not an argument as to which laws should be proposed & enacted & which ones should not. I wish for all laws by the federal government/state to be eradicated & done away with. The cancer is government! And like a tumor, should be cut out & disposed of. As a species that is quite developed we have hindered our own progression by using this advanced knowledge we're equipped with. We've created governments, gods, kings & queens, dictatorships & the like. I do not owe one person one second of my life, nor do I owe him monetarily either. This is why I'm an advocate of volunteerism. To not force, but to allow each individual to do as they see fit with their money.

I find it funny that liberals & democrats are pro-choice for the most part, yet they're for taxing & telling folks what they can & cannot do in every other aspect of their lives. If you're pro-choice & do not feel government has any right to tell a woman what they can/cannot do with their body, you should also be against force of any kind by the state/government. You're hypocrites & you're just as bad as your so-called enemies, the republicans. I am an anarcho-capitalist because I believe that every man & woman has the right to choose what they do with their lives. The very notion that capitalism & the free-market doesn't work is also unfounded & just shows that these individuals lack any real knowledge of history. Not the history taught in your indoctrinated public schools either. Your socialist mentality does not make you look "cool" or "hip", it makes you look like an uneducated moron who doesn't look at the big picture. You're so consumed with helping your fellow man out you've turned it into a big circle jerk of everyone helping everyone out, whether they wish to or not. You're altruistic & feel that anyone who is not, is a criminal or un-American.

The very idea that you feel the majority of opinions negate the freedom of an individuals right to do as they wish is outrageous! The democratic process is not a fair process. Why should the masses band together & decide which laws should or should not be implemented? What gives you carte blanche? Nothing! Your rules, your laws, your regulations & your agendas are all fallacies. You're not for the individual, you're for the collective. You're not for the common man, you're for the enslavement of mankind. You're a tool, used by the state/government.

How does it feel?

And a big THANK YOU to everyone else who welcomed me to the board!

Ooh... I want to respond!! But there's been new rules made recently to use these welcome threads for welcoming, not so much debate... Please start a new thread (or perhaps a mod will split this one?) and I'll share my thoughts! You seem like a cool guy. I'm a lefty-socialist when it comes to politics, so I don't know how much we will agree on, but hopefully we (and everyone else too!) can have an engaging discussion on this topic without it devolving into pointless name calling. A grown up discussion about our different views and stances is what is needed.

We most likely will not agree, you're correct. I'm for social Darwinism. I will make a thread before the day is over & we can go at it! Cool Shades

I think that little rant is full of assumptions, but maybe you should make a new thread it explain it further?

A new thread has been made, in the obvious sub-forum. I haven't went into much detail just yet, but will let it happen organically as the conversation/debate unfolds.

Looking forward to it!

Welcome aboard. You'll find we have members of every stripe here. Some are practically geniuses and agree with me on just about everything. Others are little more than morons. I look forward to telling you which you are as soon as you start that new thread. In the mean time please make yourself at home.
