RE: S. E. Cupp
I have come to the conclusion that she's faking it.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Really? I think that general ditziness and/or pandering to a market would account for the statements I've seen thusfar. No (belief in) god required...as usual.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I've suspected she's faking it, too, but it's taking her a long time to have her 'I've seen the light, praise Jeeesus!' moment.

Maybe she doesn't need to. It's like an anti-poe; pretending to be an atheist to mock atheists. Except, because atheism has no dogma, she can still follow other dogma and be an atheist, so it isn't quite the same as faking the dogmatic attitudes of those you are parodying. As for whether she is actually faking; it seems like it, but intelligence is not a requirement for atheism, so...

I am not going to put it past any human from lying. But it is NOT impossible for an atheist to support right wing polices.

I have frequent battles with economic libertarians and green party supporters who are atheists. Ayan Rand most certainly would be supporting, not big government, but unlimited wealth and would support "trickle down".

Which is why it is a bad idea to put limus tests on labels because we as individuals are never monochromatic and always hold many possitions on many different issues. Atheists are no different.

SC is an entertainer. Pundits are entertainers, not journalists. She may be taking the role of "dissent" for the purposes of ratings because media is still privately owned and they use those shows to make money for the add space they sell.

What kills me more about her is the blatant use of her initials. For a conservitive to take Sarah Elizabeth(sp) Cupp and change it to a bra size, has to be deliberate. I don't care, but for someone who sides with the Christian Burka croud simes a bit hypocritical, although it is attention grabbing. I would laugh in her face if she said she wasn't doing that on purpose.

I'm telling you, it really doesn't matter what she believes or doesn't believe. She's being set up to be the "brunette liberal" Ann Coulter. That's the only reason she exists. They need another bitch who sounds like she's on the "other side" but trying to intellectually convince us to work together.

She worked for Glenn Beck. I don't think much more needs to be said.

ABC NBC AND CBS nightly news are reports, not punditry. I may like MSNBC but they are pundits, not reporters. The only time on the cable networks you get reporting is the breif 2 minut news reports that cut into the puditry.

S.E is a prop. Hanity Dropped Colms becasue a real advasery on his show might make him look bad and the station wouldn't be able to sell add space.

I don't think she is a real adversary at the level say if it were a Hanity instead of her. I do think she does believe what she says though. With maybe 5 or 10 years S.E might end up on Fox News.
