A better question is why does the OP have a higher rep to post ratio than me?

Well, if perfection is defined as the "greatest possible being" then it by definition is possible.

Not necessarily. Assuming greatness is a true property and not a delusion. If it is eternal, it doesn't earn it's greatness making it less great the earned greatness. If earns it's greatness, then there is infinite potential of greatness, and there is no "end" point reaches.

It's impossible to ever reach the end of an infinite future. The same way, if eternal greatness is less great then earned greatness, and earned greatness requires growth, it will never reach the greatest possible greatness.

"Jehovah" is a much later Latin adaptation. The letter "J" did not exist in Latin until the early 16th century when it emerged as a separate letter.

Gaius Julius Caesar's name was actually Gaius Iulius Caesar.

Same thing with 'jesus.' It was a Greek adaptation of the Hebrew/Aramaic Y'shua which came out as Iesou in Greek and was later changed to Iesu in Latin and finally jesus when they got around to inventing the "j".

Poor fundies. They really think there was a mailbox in fucking "Nazareth" that had "J. Christ" printed on the side of it.

Assholes.

If the future is infinite, is an "end" possible? There is infinite potential to the future but it doesn't mean you can ever reach the end. Greatness if has infinite potential, while an eternal being that didn't earn it's greatness cannot be greater than a being that earns it's greatness, it will be impossible. Think about it.

'God' is not a name, it is a job title.

The various gods believed in by humanity have various names. Just a few of he names used for the Biblical god are; El, Adonai, Jahova, Ja.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

No.

I don't really need to think about the fact that anything possible is possible. "Greatest possible being" is possible because "greatest possible" anything is possible. "Greatest possible anything" is possible because anything possible is possible.

I don't really need to think about the fact that anything possible is possible. Greatest possible being is possible because greatest possible anything is possible. Greatest possible anything is possible because anything possible is possible.

Semantics. I'm saying "potential" of greatness can never be reached, in the same way, an end to the future cannot be reached.

Here is the thing, for beings earning their greatness, and growing in it, they can always be greater.

Language is a mode of communication to express ideas, we shouldn't get all technical over semantics, and often a phrase can be perceived in one way or another.
