How Christians and there god sound to me.

Both Gooders and Darkstar were afaid to voice their own opinion regarding the translation of "eternal". Both chickened out but one did admit to "doubt" (my word).

You are both invited to read my points and state your opinions here. It would be awesome to see an atheist admit I was right for once. lol

HUH? This is absolutely one of the weakest things I've ever heard. I already told you. I DON'T FUCKING CARE ABOUT YOUR BIBLE, or what it CLAIMS. I want to know WHY YOU accept it as authoritative on ANY subject. I want you to DEMONSTRATE your deity. It does absolutely no good to quote your bible. I know the bible very well (as I taught bible classes and argued as an apologist for 15+ years) and I've taken part in LOTS of arguments of hermeneutics, biblical exegesis, Greek/Hebrew interpretation/exposition. I don't care. The burden of proof is not on me. It is on YOU.

You keep dodging and trying to shift the burden of proof - as if some translation, or your interpretation, of the bible is going to change anything. It won't, because that is the very thing in question.

Now, you made at least two claims earlier, 1) that your deity is unknowable, and 2) that it MUST exist outside our "universe". So the burden of proof is now on you to do the following:

-Define your "deity". What does that term refer to?
-Demonstrate how you know this deity exists
-Demonstrate how you know this deity is "unknowable"
-Demonstrate how you know "it" MUST exist outside what we call "the universe" (that we now perceive)

Otherwise, you are just practicing religious CREDULITY and GULLIBILITY. It's really as simple as that.

His reason is probably the same (or very similar to the one) you kept for 15 years...
So, what was it?

Dude, seriously, I'm feeling pretty sorry for you right about now. So you argued appologetics for 15 years? Really? I've never been naive enough to believe all of that shit, you must be extremely gullible to devote that much time to defending it. Hades, I could have saved you 15 years of wasted time...

I never made a "claim" regarding my "deity", I was asked a question. That question does not change the OP nor the fact that you and others were attempting to claim that I wasn't a "True Christian™". It was agreed by others that the Bible was the standard to determine who was a Christian, as well as an agreed upon definition. If you can't discuss the OP without displaying at least a tiny bit of intellectual honesty, then you're no better than a troll. If you can't concede that Chritians exist, then you're fucking delusional, period.

But please, I really do love whiny rants, so if you would be so kind, I can use the entertainment. If by some odd miracle that you actually want to learn something, research for yourself which word was translated to eternal and post your interpretation here.

*I predict "waa waa waa!" lol

I don't need your pity or your lame excuses but thanks for confirming the Checkmate. As part of the subject, and the OP, you seem to be (once again) the infinite dodger of questions and burdens. The OP has to do with what Christians believe AND WHY. Ask the creator of the OP himself. You made two claims and are refusing to back them up. So the dishonesty is all yours big guy. But, then again, we already knew that - since honest people don't dodge questions, say "fuck off", and generally act like asses when asked to backup their claims.

Again, I don't give a fucking flying two shits who a "true Christian" is. If you believe all of the points in the OP, then demonstrate how you know they are true. Backup the two claims you made about your alleged deity or admit you can't. I really doubt you have the confidence or the integrity to do so.

MY prediction: You will keep dodging and crying about the OP.

I don't think you have to "be informed of christ" to be a christian.
Merely living in a predominantly christian area and going with the flow is usually sufficient.Big Grin

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

YEP. Just like I predicted! More dodging. Two can play your bullshit "prediction" game. Of course, your baby game is just an attempt to distract everyone away from the fact that you are practicing credulity and have zero evidence to backup your deity claims.

Nice try though!

I realized it before but (like most fundies) was unwilling to admit it. Arrogance, pride, ego, feeling hurt, fear, afraid to admit error/weakness/ignorance, etc. were are character traits that I could see in the other apologists around me, as well as myself.

The religious mindset (i.e. - the delusional) also houses a strong WANT/DESIRE to keep believing. That is why continual "reminders" and/or mantras (such as church) are necessary. Keep saying it over and over (J. Goebbels) and it will stick.
