Weed is physically addictive. It does store up in fat cells though, due to the nature of many of the canibinoids present in the plant. So depending on patterns of use it can be very easy to quit without many noticable effects, but extreme use followed by immediate cessation, can bring about sleeplessness, loss of appetite, trouble regulating mood, and body pains. What is odd to me is my friends who've smoked like chimneys claiming that weed helps them not hurt; makes me wonder if the pain they are avoiding is simply withdrawl from smoking.
