I agree, but the hairdo, the clothes .. seems to me it was all intended to make her look much younger than 16 ... or is this a figment of my dirty male imagination ... Angel

Get your head checked sicko.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

16 and 17 year olds are absolutely sexual beings Tongue And I should certainly hope it's acceptable, because they're going to be having sex regardless Tongue

12? Not a heck of a lot to display Tongue But it's individual... some don't really get interested for a few more years yet, and some have been more than a little interested since they were 7, when they started shaving. Levitate

Agreed, 16 & 17 year olds generally are sexual. But is it okay to display that in pop culture? It's kind of the norm now... And you're right, some people hit puberty well ahead of their peers. There's a lot of interesting stuff on how that impacts a person's psychological development.

It's all subjective. I believe it is okay to display 16 and 17 year old sexually, assuming they're willing.

But then, I also believe it's okay to display 12 and 13 year olds sexually, assuming they started doing so of their own accord, and not as the scheme of an adult.

Plenty of room to move around, some cases are different (example: kid is hungry, and this is an available avenue for them to escape poverty).

My first and gut reaction to your reply is to say no. But, if I was 12 and someone told me that I would have said fuck off. I had strong sexual thoughts long before 12 years old.

My greatest criticism of the O.M.G. video is the message, not the overt sexuality displayed. Of course, I am saying this as an adult, not a 12 year old who feel repressed. The shallowness of the lyrics, the objectification of one's self in order to be wanted by others is messed up, whereas the video in the OP, corny as hell, says something positive, and doesn't get religious about it.

That's me for ya, causing people's stomachs to churn whilst remaining correct at all times. So they might vomit, but they'll vomit knowing it's true.

I didn't give a damn about the video, but the music was shit. I appreciated it far more before I swapped browsers to get the sound Tongue Regardless of how bad something is, one need only look to Beiber to see that it is well-liked by many. Smile

So yes, it sucks... but it probably also sells. Who am I to begrudge them that? Sleepy

Twelve year-olds don't have the mental capacity to really understand the consequences of sex and sexual actives and are therefore unable to give informed consent.
