You were ok there untill you said "son of the Biblical god"... Where and when did that become a requirement to be a follower of the teachings of Yeshua? But one doesn't even have to be a "believer" to be considered a "believer" according to the Bible. Or shall we only follow what Yeshua taught and ignore the rest?

Never, but it is a requirement to be a Christian. Muslims are follower of the teaching of Yeshua, too, but they're not Christians.

what an odd point to debate Undecided

it's rather a stupid non-issue.
It's kinda like debating the selling of blood plasma donations but then suddenly getting into a stink over the true color of blood. What the fuck is the point?

The claim is made because of the meaning of the word Christian. A Christian is a person who belives in Yeshua as the Christ 8it's in the root of the word "Christian"), the Messiah who according to the Bible is the son of the Biblical god. You simply like his teachings.

You can't claim to be a Canadian just because you like Canada. You need to be a citizen of Canada. Similarly, you can't claim to be a Christian just because you like the teachings of Yeshua. You need to believe in his divinity.

Does that rule come from the Bible? Whose rule is it? If Yeshua didn't teach it, then who exacly would I be following?
"Christ" = "Annointed One", right? So if Yeshua was annointed, then I just have to believe that was true, correct?

I can claim to be a Christian because of the religion Yeshua established, not the religion the Romans established...
