Atheism leaves too much room for error.

RE: Atheism leaves too much room for error.
Truth,

Nice rhetoric there, "...many atheists think they can 'disprove' god." and "Atheists are trying their hardest to prove a universal-negative." Neither of these statements has any basis in reality and they are just tools you are using to set up a straw man argument. The burden of proof is not on us and we all know that, ergo, we burn NO calories trying to "disprove god." On these forums we DO burn a lot of calories refuting arguments like yours:

Quote:Nothing comes from nothing. Well, if ever there was a time that nothing existed, nothing could exist. Consequently, something had to bring existence out of nothing. Singularity equals God. The conclusion to the existence of God; God is the Cosmological singularity. Cosmic singularity was the intelligence behind everything that came into existence. Therefore, God exists.

If god came from nothing why not save a step and just say the universe came from nothing.

Quote:I have encountered many atheists who claim Energy created the universe. That is untrue. Energy alone did not create the universe. Energy was a start, but to credit all life-form and all creation and alignment of all the planets to the first law of Thermodynamics is utterly insane.

I doubt you know any atheists and you use the phrase "many atheists" to make it look like you HAVE talked to a good sample from our population but it is merely a rhetorical trick. I know of nobody who claims that "energy" created the universe because energy is part of the universe so that would be a circular argument.

There I held myself back from just posting fart noises and random O'RLY owls. I'm sure Truth will have a scathingly brilliant retort at which time I WILL respond with the respect this thread deserves.

Are you sure you have never witnessed an atheist say "I can prove there is no God"? I have met a ton of them that claim they have proof there is no such thing as God.

Quote:If god came from nothing why not save a step and just say the universe came from nothing.
No, that is untrue, and it holds no grounds for argument whatsoever. I'll explain.

The Bible claims "God is an eternal force". (in the book of Timothy). If you want the exact verses let me know.

The Bible claims "God formed the universe with things that cannot be seen". Modern science calls this things that cannot be seen, (atoms).
(In the book of Hebrews). Once again, if you want the exact verse. Let me know.

Energy is eternal, because we cannot destroy an atom. Science also confirms the Universe had a beginning. Roughly 14.7 billion years ago. So, this would conclude the existence of God. Because nothing comes from nothing, and something cannot arise from nothing. It's proven science.

I love a good debate. Keep it fun and clean, and let's chat.

I do tend to get irritated at the atheists who claim, "atheists are good moral decent people", and within 20 posts, they are insulting me, calling me an idiot, a loser, delusional, a jesus-freak....

I'm like, whoa!!!! I thought you atheists were good moral decent human beings?

Some atheists online really make it look bad for the good guys. (atheists)

And I mean that sincerely.

Since they cannot do so, I can show how God can be proven using mathematics and science.
Could you point out these atheists to me? I certainly know none of them that are doing that...and I know quite a number of atheists.

Quote:Nothing comes from nothing.
How do you know this applies to the universe as a single object? It applies internally, but how do you know it applies externally?
Quote:Well, if ever there was a time that nothing existed, nothing could exist.
Again, how do you know this? If the universe is "everything" then fine, but if it isn't then how do you know?
Quote:Consequently, something had to bring existence out of nothing. Singularity equals God.
Excuse me? Since when does singularity equal God. Please prove that before you prove anything else...
Quote:The conclusion to the existence of God; God is the Cosmological singularity. Cosmic singularity was the intelligence behind everything that came into existence. Therefore, God exists.
Sorry, but assumption + assumption does not equal conclusion.

You said this proof was mathematical, but all you are doing is arguing through philosophy. Please present your mathematical proof like you said, or admit you have no such proof and respond to my criticism of this philosophical one.

Yeah, sure. Log into Yahoo chat, and go under religion. Those atheists say there is no God, period.

there is nothing beyond the universe. Nothing that we are aware of. The human brain is not capable of building technology machinery that can prove what is beyond our universe.

Quote:Again, how do you know this? If the universe is "everything" then fine, but if it isn't then how do you know?
The Universe is everything.

Quote:Excuse me? Since when does singularity equal God. Please prove that before you prove anything else...
This singularity had the intelligence to form life, and all of the planets to align?

Quote:Sorry, but assumption + assumption does not equal conclusion.
It's clearly not assumption. It's physics . God is the singularity that began space and time, and all beautiful living species on earth. God held these atoms in his hands.

I have proven God exists by using physics. God is the cosmic singularity that began life and universe. This singularity (God) is a timeless and extremely intelligent force.

What do you say about that atheists?

Wow...you are a moron. Physics? HAHAHAHAHAHA You don't know physics.

It appears that you like pretending to have debates with imaginary atheists. We are real here, do not speak of what this atheist or that atheist said; most of us don't care and it doesn't add a thing to your argument.

Atheists are people, not "good" people or "bad" people, just people. That means that some of us are right bastards while others of us are sweet putty cats. The reason you are met with such distaste might have somthing to do with your simultaneously arrogant and ignorant style. Coming to an atheist forum with a Jesus avatar and claiming the name "The_Truth" is facepalm worthy at best.

The bible is not proof of god, and has NO use in a thread about prooving god fru da use of mafs.

mafs is hard,

God said 'Let there be light' before the Sun was created. What light was God talking about? The explosion of particles, big bang?

You are asking us what a being we don't believe in meant when he supposedly said something when nothing was there to hear it?

So you base your theory of "many atheists" on a single chat room? You really are delusional.
Quote:there is nothing beyond the universe. Nothing that we are aware of. The human brain is not capable of building technology machinery that can prove what is beyond our universe.
For a person who doesn't like people who make negative claims, you certainly are a hypocrite. "There is nothing beyond the universe" is a negative statement, and thus unprovable as you very well know, thus to state it is (as you also know) ridiculous.

Quote:The Universe is everything.
You see, this "mathematical proof" is just getting more and more like "assumption, assumption, assumption". PROVE IT!

Quote:This singularity had the intelligence to form life, and all of the planets to align?
Natural laws are the reason why life forms and planets align. You have no evidence or reason to think that intelligence was behind it.

Quote:It's clearly not assumption. It's physics . God is the singularity that began space and time, and all beautiful living species on earth. God held these atoms in his hands.
It's an assumption because you have yet to show any evidence or proof of your claims.

Quote:I have proven God exists by using physics. God is the cosmic singularity that began life and universe. This singularity (God) is a timeless and extremely intelligent force.
You have done no such thing. You have simply stated assumptions and for some reason you think this forms a conclusion.
