I think this is very reasonable, particularly in a community where the natural lens is one of skepticism. I tried to make something of an effort to sort of dispel that idea in the post itself, but I didn't want to flood it with personal details too much and dissuade people from even reading it. In my eyes, it has nothing but positive effects to offer our community, so I'm hoping its merits would at least invite skeptical feedback.
This is overly optimistic, but how great would it be to hear an atheist song on the radio? What if it were getting mainstream appeal? I don't expect that to happen with this project. But maybe it can build a larger underground audience, which might be a platform for some other musicians to do as much. I just think there's possibly a large void in the music realm that would help our cause if we were to fill it with clear, powerful reasons, and catchy tunes.
I just thought, with the reach of the internet, this idea was too good to not try.
