If my memory doesnt fail me this is the first attempted political assasination in Europe since the early 90s.


Just read that it was an assault on the head of the turkish minority party in Bulgaria, the assassin was turkish - which is weird.

My favourite bit was right at the end when the elderly man decides to walk up on stage just to hit the assassin with his umbrella...because how many chances do you get to do that?

Because in most cases it really end with someones brains splattered or guts outside.
The guy clearly was nervous as shit, and in the news it says that he also had 2 knifes with him.
