Wow, great survey, I answered it all completely honestly with ease and enjoyed it all immensely.

I'll make a point to do this when I get home from vacation.

One question - the instructions indicated to consider the past 4 weeks. I had 3-week serious illness during that time period that will change my answers from what they would ordinarily be. That will not skew the results I hope?

Thanks so much! I would say just be honest about the last four weeks specifically - even if you were sick. It should be fine.

I loved the leisure time question since I'm retired.

It has been my observation that atheists tend to suffer a higher rate of depression, but take that for what it's worth, which is simply testimony based on personal experience.

Interesting survey.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

The illusion of "heaven" keeps the dolts happy. Did you ever meet one of them who thought that he was going to hell?

Religion's popularity rests in its ability to sell a false sense of security to the easily deluded.

Oh, I am well aware that it's a false sense of security brought on by delusion, Min., but I think the important issue is that atheists do not have this false security to fall back on. Don't get me wrong, though. I think I am a much better person for having gone through my struggles without surrendering my intellectual integrity and taking the easy way out by deluding myself that I am special in a god's eyes. That journey, however, can be quite arduous. My original point, though, was that it has been my experience that the lack of such a delusion does make a person more likely to struggle severely with depression.
