Took me an hour's stalling to get that achievement today (on the Aztecs). I trounced 3 civs, and left the egyptians with only Thebes. Even still, I very nearly capped out the time... the year was 2060 when I finally got it.

Also, discovered that cities cap out at 31 population 0.o Which sucked, because 32 pop would have had me the achievement about 25 years earlier TT__TT
