Looks like Ken Ham may have done a porker
Darwin, dinosaurs and the devil
February 13, 2013

Mark Joseph Stern
An Australian creationist believes Charles Darwin is to blame for drug abuse and pornography, and that people rode dinosaurs.

Quote:Few have profited more from Darwin calumny and science denial than Ken Ham, an Australian-born, young-Earth creationist behind some of the most ambitious monuments to creationism in the United States. Ham rose to fame after successfully raising $US27 million to build the Creation Museum in Kentucky, which tells the story of God's creation of the Earth through pseudoscience and unforgettable dioramas (the highlight: a kid hanging out with a gentle raptor). According to Ham, dinosaurs and humans co-existed for a while. Dinosaurs shared the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, and humans may have saddled dinosaurs for transportation and long-distance travel. Pro-evolution scientists (ie, all actual scientists), however, have obfuscated these undeniable truths with sinful lies and slander.

Why is this news? Nutters will be nutters, Ken Ham will be Ken Ham, and I will continue to laugh at Answers in Genesis.

We are currently experiencing a major financial failure of politico-religious structures here in Oz. This is one of them.

Failure in the sence of: Financial collapse due to being a nonprofitable buisness?

or, which would be even better: Failure due to illegal activities to gain money?

The churches which subscribe to Young Earth Creationism are not doing too badly, for the most part their memberships are stable or even growing. However they are a tiny proportion of the Australian population. The rest of the churches in Australia have declining and rapidly ageing memberships.

Since I believe the census is overestimating the number of religious people in Australia. The nation has reached a point now that more people do not subscribe to a certain religion than those who do. Also about a third of the population now are Atheist for all intensive purposes.

Thank you, Kichi, from the bottom of my colon, for putting the odiously repellant Ham within hide tags. Every time I have to see his incredibly punchable smug little face, I can't help but be reminded of that sickening video clip of him poisoning the minds of a roomful of kids ("Who should you trust first, God or the scientists? ... God, yes; and I want you to remember that!")
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

No worries Stimbo. I can't stand that pic either.

So what's wrong with riding dinosaurs? Big Grin

Ham obviously forgot that it was just a cartoon show!

I might point out that's more likely than the oversized vicious raptors portrayed in "Jurassic Park". If a kid was to ever meet one that is. Velociraptors were small and squany.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

Uh, they ate meat. Kids would be riding in them, not on them.
