I'll repeat what most everyone else said in hopes that if it said enough times you may get it.
Everyone is born without belief in gods. It requires indoctrination in order o start believing in a god.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

All human cultures have had various different religions, but you'll notice they're all somewhat different and they believed in various different gods as well. So it would seem to be a manmade creation. I don't really see any way out of that. But I'm fine with people believing in it, I like the cultural stuff and the art. If there is something like a God I doubt it has anything directly to do with our religions. But take a butchers at this.

The universe appears to have a similar structure to a brain, so it could be one composite conscious being of which we form a part. That seems like something that could work. You can't really make much of a religion out of it though.

Here, I'll spell it out for you. Your question was loaded, and it was a false dichotomy.
Just like the question about beating your wife has the same flaws.

If you asked that way, you would have probably received more interesting answers. You also would not have come off like an asshat.
