Detoxification of Heavy Metals

Detoxification of Heavy Metals
For the past year and a half, I have been feeling extremely off. I have a bunch of symptoms that all combine to make my life hell most of the time:

>Brain fog
>Always feeling fatigued even after a good night's sleep
>Bad memory
>Sensitive to light
>Disinterested in life
>Sensitive to loud noises
>Imbalance when walking (very rare, but it happens)
>Symptoms related to the mind get worse if I focus too hard on using my brain to complete tasks/think deeply about things.

Lately I have been researching after a recommended remedy failed. I was diagnosed as having inner ear problems about 6 months ago, but that only accounts for my infrequent imbalance. By the sounds of it, if that was actually the cause then I should be falling over every time I get up which isn't the case and it doesn't even account for the other symptoms like being sensitive to light. That's not related at all to the ear's balance system.

I have recently come across Chronic Fatigue Syndrome but after extensively reading about it, it seems like the sufferers who did find a cure (CFS doesn't have any solutions yet as it's not understood very well) realised that they were intoxicated with heavy metals such as iron, lead & mercury.

Basically, I'm just wondering if a) anyone here has had these symptoms before and/or b) if they know of methods to detoxify oneself of heavy metals in the body. I'm obviously going to seek medical help in the relevant areas (physician and nutritionist..?) but I thought it wouldn't hurt in asking around Smile

Get a large magnet and rub it across your head towards your nose several times then blow. If your snot is shiny, it worked.

Get to your doctor with these symptoms.

A full work up will give you both a better understanding of just what is happening with you.

As for heavy metals? You live in Australia? Welcome to Alumina, Mercury, Iron and Asbestos as your background "metals"

Well, the first time 'round to the doctors I got told I had inner ear problems even though they knew about the other symptoms... that's why I want to narrow it down and go to a doctor in the area of toxic stuff in the body.

Not only am I in Australia, but also the everyday things we use are plagued with heavy metals. I just looked at my deodorant can and it has an aluminium alloy in it... also, I have 3 dental fillings which I think have mercury in them. We surround ourselves with heavy metal products.

FTR, you cannot HELP but be exposed to heavy metals in this country. The dust is deadly!

I find one of those "Thai Crystal Sticks" (health food shops) and Patchouli oil help when I'm feeling overloaded, as a deodorant.

You are East coast?

I agree with KichigaiNeko. You should only consult qualified doctors on these issues. Do not self-diagnose...

I live in Perth like you Smile

I have read that people who get severely intoxicated and show these symptoms usually have bodies that don't cope well enough with excreting these heavy metals. If this is the true diagnosis of my symptoms, then it means the metals have slowly been building up to this critical stage.

I fully agree, but the problem with doctors is that they are biased. The GP recommended me to go to his brother-in-law who is an international expert in dizziness and inner ear problems. Of course he was going to give his strongest case why I have inner ear problems, but it failed to account for everything else that wasn't adding up. That's why I would rather do the research and then approach someone who might be just as biased, but hopefully their field of expertise can give rational reasons for my symptoms, unlike the inner ear diagnosis.

or just go to a GP who's brother isn't an E.N.T or whatever...
It's the G.P's job to send you off to the right experts or to get tests done if need be, not yours.

I must admit that the General Practitioners here in Perth leave much to be desired. It is also "best practice" here in Perth of not what you know but whom. Getting informed about POTENTIAL causes to your issues can be a good thing when you are in discussions with your doctor. Perhaps you are able to DEMAND to have these issues discounted before settling on the Inner ear issue. Is it possible to see another doctor? After all, another opinion often helps. (expensive I know)

I also find that GP's seem rather reluctant to test for anything in this town.... What is your Haemoglobin count? Have you had a full blood work up? How about your heart? And do you have any hereditary conditions?

The reason I ask is that it has just been revealed that my father has a congenital heart condition (had it for all of his 78 years perhaps) but was complete news to me, mother was recently be diagnosed with Small vessel syndrome that causes her to occasionally get very dizzy and has potential heart related consequences. The amount of medical investigation included... MRI, Full Blood pathology, EEG and ECG tests. Needless to say they have a very good GP {who does know (unrelated) Specialists in these fields.} and access to free health care.
They also live on the East Coast, are basically healthy but for these few issues that can be life threatening. Why I mention that is that they are in their late 70's and you are ...how old? Alot younger I am thinking.

So hunt around for another GP and go in there asking for tests to discount anything sinister BEFORE you settle for the inner ear issue. It's up to you to work with your GP. I have to go in and have a bit of a chat with my young GP over these hereditary issues.
Goodluck mate
