I feel so fortunate that I've got you here to tell me how I should value my life.

It is an argument (based on statistics), you can accept or reject it

Anyway I'm just preparing you for a full proof of God existence

No, but this does, and you seem to be completely ignoring it: we have no way of knowing not only if your chosen god is the correct one, but if any human representation of god is the correct one. What if your god is correct in every respect, only a transcription error in your holy book means a crucial law was skipped over, and so every last one of you true believers is going to hell through no fault of your own? What if there are two gods, and though the one you worship is sending you to heaven, his more powerful opposite is sending you to hell because you didn't worship him too? What if this extant god praises intellectual honesty over blind fealty and would send me to hell for hedging my bets and feigning belief like you're advocating?

I could go on forever, and as a writer of fiction I've cooked up a number of other possibilities just for fun, but I hope you take my point; the possibilities are simply infinite, and thus any attempt at calculating probabilities is meaningless.

Quote:This will be the next stage, we can eliminate impossible Gods
and wage for only possible/logical Gods

Okay, why aren't you already talking about that? Damn, if you've got absolute proof sufficient to eliminate the possibilities of certain gods, that would be something we'd all be interested in. That'd be genuinely impressive, so why are you delaying? If you can actually provide proof like that it'd do wonders for your credibility here.

Cut to the chase, dude.

Quote:Then it has no value at all, you will be dead so your life worth nothing (if there is no God)

Excuse me? Speak for yourself. When I die, I'll be leaving behind my family, my fiancee (hopefully my wife by that stage) and a lifetime of my cumulative actions and effects on the world. So do we all. There is value in that, immeasurably so.

What do you base this upon? I say that life is equally worth from the beginning to the end, not declining each second.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

And I bet it will be new and original and we won't have encountered it a thousand times before.

And have you ever heard the phrase " Lies, damned lies and statistics" ?

Let's start with a new old topic
Pascal's Wager

I"ll put the statement which I'm trying to prove first

Atheism is a very weak position to take, (Anything is better than nothing)

P(G) is the probability of God existence (which is >0 unless you can prove that God doesn't exist)

V the value of your life
P(V) the probability of your death

P(G)/(P(V)xV) will go to infinity as your life is coming to an end
But as you don't know when are you going to die, you should embrace a religion NOW!

How about a nice hot cup of "fuck off"?

(February 27, 2013 at 4:03 am)Muslim Scholar Wrote: As you don't know exactly when are you going to die
You are gambling with your life as if you die suddenly you will lose everything

You don't say? Lose your life and you lose everything? Really? That had not occurred to any atheists.

ROFLOL

Of course, there won't be a "you" to "know" that you've "lost everything"

Quote:but if you have a religion you will have a better chance

Confusedhock:

Quick, sign me up to Islam!

So I have a better chance of...what, by the way?

Tell you what, you wouldn't catch me kneeling to Mecca 5 times a day, abstaining from drink, treating women like animals and all of the other bullshit - what a waste of your one, shit, life.

(February 28, 2013 at 3:43 am)Muslim Scholar Wrote: The probability of God (any God) will always be greater than 0

WHY? Thinking
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.
