Lucky you dlf My biology science teacher (from 2 years ago) taught creationism as a possibility alongside evolution. It was not a good thing for the class, imho.
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
Science should not deal with creationism at all since creationism is not science.Creationism is not based on facts but rather on the myths and superstitions of the Bible.
There is nothing people will not maintain when they are slaves to superstition

It was not a good thing for the class, imho. You were taught that in a public school system. Most states require creation to be taught along with evolution or neither can be discussed. My experience was with college professors. Once you make it to the college level and if you take some classes that discuss earth history or evolutionary biology you'll see there's no bullshitting in the class. They teach it on a science perspective because that's what it is and they are possibly teaching people who are going to make a career out of the subject.
Good post Darwinian, great point there.
