Atheistic bloodthirstiness (by D. D'Souza)

RE: Atheistic bloodthirstiness (by D. D'Souza)
Quote:Nice picture but to be honest no one has found any pro-religion statement from him that is not in a political speech or writing saying what we would expect a politician to say.

Mein Kampf (1925) dates from considerably before he became a political leader. In fact, he began dictating it while he was in prison. Curiously ( or not, depending on your point of view) the book was edited by Bernhard Stempfle, a catholic priest.

Quote:Although Hitler did not practice religion in a churchly sense, he certainly believed in the Bible's God. Raised as Catholic he went to a monastery school and, interestingly, walked everyday past a stone arch which was carved the monastery's coat of arms which included a swastika. As a young boy, Hitler's most ardent goal was to become a priest. Much of his philosophy came from the Bible, and more influentially, from the Christian Social movement. (The German Christian Social movement, remarkably, resembles the Christian Right movement in America today.) Many have questioned Hitler's stand on Christianity. Although he fought against certain Catholic priests who opposed him for political reasons, his belief in God and country never left him. Many Christians throughout history have opposed Christian priests for various reasons; this does not necessarily make one against one's own Christian beliefs. Nor did the Vatican's Pope & bishops ever disown him; in fact they blessed him!

Still....perhaps the man himself can explain it to you?

I do not see your point. He was in prison after he had started his political career and was railing against the communist take over of Bavaria. The Beer Hall Putsch as the Allies like to call it. A free election but not acceptable to him like Hamas winning the last election in Palestine but that being unacceptable. In any event Mein Kampf is after he was in politics for four years. I can't change that. He was the leading member of the National Socialist Party and already added Workers to make it National Socialist Workers Party before he was jailed.

No blame. Effectively ALL current information on the subject still based upon allied war propaganda instead of fact. The difference is in 1924 Britain apologized to Germany for its wartime propaganda about invented atrocities in Belgium. So far neither Britain nor Russia has apologized for the inventions of WWII. Before you get righteous are you going to claim neither country invented anything? I hope not. Therefore some things have to be subtracted from the allegations. Do you want to discuss which ones?

As for acting in accordance with the almighty creator, that is what I said. A generic god reference, no Jesus, an appeal right in line with US politicians who mention god so much it would get a European out of office in a heart beat. The phrasing itself does not even say "god". That is avoidance of any particular formulation which might offend some sect or other. It is the lowest common denominator.
