I can feel the presence of Atheism. It is strong.

You should probably go to a doctor and have that checked. It's probably just gas but better safe than sorry.

"Many people think they have religion when they are troubled with dyspepsia."
-- Robert G.Ingersoll
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

If I stand in the wind, I don't believe that I feel the wind. I know that I feel it.
Does this poster us the word "believe" because "know" is too strong a word?
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.

Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.

He might use it because he is an idiot.

As Napoleon said "never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

That's always a strong possibility when dealing with theists. Though sometimes I suspect they are here from another planet and we just don't have the same frame of reference.

I am willing to believe that. Sometimes, when debating with theists, I feel like they are speaking a language only known to them. Though in that language, I can understand the words, but I feel like they are using the wrong ones or putting them in an incorrect order.

It goes deeper than the language. Even when we try to communicate with someone who speaks a different language, we know that for that person 2 plus 2 equals 4. Not so with theists. They live in a world were 2 plus 2 equals whatever the Bible says.

Rule of thumb: Understand what they say but overstand what they don't say. That's where the truth is in what they don't say.
