Be sure to barbecue kittens, record the NFL without their permission and rip the tags off of your mattress.

Tossing away that crutch really does feel good, doesn't it?

Welcome to the forums.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

What is bad about being "anti theist" exactly? To us that is like saying it is bad to object to someone claiming the moon is made of cheese.

Ok, you can call us "anti-theist" and we will call theist pro-credulity, or pro gullibility, Pro pink unicorn. Pro invisible tea pot.

It's a badge of honor if you ask me. Separates us from the cretins who think they have a celestial big brother watching out for them....when he isn't watching them!

That's actually a good question. To be very honest, I'm for both. I root for Atheism because I wish to see the day the world is in shock when someone comes with undeniable evidence that there is no God and Christianity is a joke. The stories at least. Burning bush, Noah, Adam 'n Eve and all the rest.

I've heard and figured for myself people [theists] would most likely deny any sort of evidence and still carry on to be deluded. However I'm waiting for the moment where they just CAN'T go around it. I suspect two thing would happen; A time of war, terror, depression and despair. Or pure rejoice and relief ! A world of good reason and logic.

Atheism; not believing there is a God, believes in science. To me? Science is something I can see, people [scientists] can present facts. As for Anti Theists, Christopher Hitchens was/is an Anti Theist. And who doesn't think he is awesome ? Smile I love to write, I'm getting more and more into good literature and when C.Hitchens said ''I am an Anti Theist.'' That just sounded good to me and something I could, maybe be proud of self proclaiming too. Although I like it more when others give me that [any official] title.

I'm here on this forum to learn, to seek more knowledge on both science, religion and difficult questions I can as Theists. Like;

''If you see a woman being kicked in the stomach, how does it feel?'' - Bad, unpleasant, hurtful. ''Even worse, you see a pregnant woman being kicked in the stomach? A thrust from a man's leg right to her stomach. How would it make you feel?'' - Horrible, outraged, angry, very sad.

''So do you need a divine being or a book to tell you that it's bad?''

That kind of thing. Furthermore, as crazy as it may sound, I feel the enthusiasm here and a willingness for good input into discussions, debates and all that. I appreciate it.

Thanks again guys for the awesome greeting! Clap

You have to do a lot better than that to beat the theists on here in an argument. Welcome to the forums though. Smile

Actually no, but it figures that you wouldn't understand Tongue
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
