It's not about insecurity, it's about impermissibility (if that word exists). It's not really allowed for Muslims to have idols at all, especially if they are statues of supposed gods, it's a major sin to protect them or host them. That's why Saudi Arabia shipped everything it had over to France. Egypt should either destroy them or get rid of them at the very least.
