NASA-Funded 3D Food Printer
http://newsfeed.time.com/2013/05/24/nasa...ld-hunger/

Quote:NASA just threw a $125,000, six-month grant at a project by Anjan Contractor, a mechanical engineer at Systems and Materials Research Corporation in Austin to develop a working prototype of his proposed universal food synthesizer.

“Long distance space travel requires 15-plus years of shelf life,” Contractor told Quartz. “The way we are working on it is, all the carbs, proteins and macro and micro nutrients are in powder form. We take moisture out, and in that form it will last maybe 30 years.”

Now here's something that deserves much more than 125k USD.... crowdfunding, anyone?

I completely agree. We as a species should put our effort into exploring the universe. I hope some day that we can realize that our personal problems between states, countries and continents are minuscule compared to the vast universe. I hope sometime in the future we see that our existence and knowledge of the universe is more important than gas prices, or anger towards each other for no reason. This could be a huge accomplishment towards learning and visiting our galaxy, and much more.

I agree! NASA rocks but their funding gets cut every year. They are half percent of national budget, when we have one! should be like 5%. Tell your politicians! The closer we get to know beginning of universe more we will see Gods presence beyond it. Universe is just a contingent being. Everything contingent has a cause. God is not contingent. He is the only uncaused cause !

A wild godbot appears!

Godbot uses Necro-Preach..

It's not very effective...
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I really hope they throw more money at this dude for his printer. So many NASA funded inventions end up being used by the world and with positive implications.

You know they'll be successful because in Star Trek they have replicators.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.
