Intelligent Design, Proof V

It is proving the must for an intelligent, external source of Data.

Ah, silly me. I must have tripped over that all caps GOD you put as the cause in your initial post. Rolleyes

Quote:Even if it is true, this demonstrate the means not the data
If you have a GPS, It is useless without updating the maps into it.

Do compasses work because a god magicked the data into them? Or do they just point to a magnetic north point? This isn't a matter of maps, the data is much simpler than that; magnetite particles in the brain simply orient the organism toward a location, in this case a spawning point.

Beyond that, "data" isn't actually a thing. It's not something that's granted externally, it's a system by which observers interpret physical reality. You're equivocating, because you don't have anything real.

Quote:Claiming that you got the GPS by evolution is ridiculous enough
but claiming that the GPS is loaded with all maps is ............... INSANE.

Liar. It's a compass, not a GPS. Try again.

Oh, and just for funsies: Science!

Where was the "none of the above" button?

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

Reference missed, it's okay. It was only the most popular event in the most popular videogame in the world, but I guess we haven't started our world economy on Influence Points (which you get by working) and Riot Points (which you also get by working, sucking dick to be more clear as to the details). Shame, that... I could be rich.

That is a manatee, urfiously.

Because the second option is self-evident.

What, you don't see it? Ever wondered about them ELECTRIC eels? Pretty cool things.

You make it sound like God implanted an image of the MAP into their brains and created a visual arrow pointing towards the light?

What about the compass? I can navigate the terrain with just a compass (thanks to military training) without a map. We call that learning. Magnetism and the large Iron core close to the poll helps.

GPS does not require a map or update map. Latitude and Longitude do not move over time.

Do you read what are you writing

How can you navigate with just a compass???
You need to know your location and the target location directions related to yours (i.e. a map)

And you're saying the animals can't remember the magnetic field relative to their initial position upon being born? Your example is flawed; the truth is, it's like navigating to a location based on having an instinctive pull toward the place you're needing to go.

Read the little boxout about sea turtles in that link I posted earlier.

Negative! You can create your own map via a compass, time, and pase count. You are navigating from point A to point B. Using techniques such as reverse Azimuth with large points of reference. Read US Army Field Manual FM 3-25 Maps and Land Navigation. Even the Boy Scouts learn how to navigate without a map.

Also, how do you think we humans get maps? God gave us the Maps? We created them! In the United States, Lewis and Clarke expedition map most of the United States. I wonder what did they use? Compass, pace count, and time.

Ok, here's the deal. MS, take your meds. Chill out. Compile your shit instead of making thread after thread after thread. M'kay?
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
