Maybe you use it to see if Macbooks will blend? Big Grin

I simply broke into his appartment and "stole" things which were worth the money and left a letter behind detailing the conditions under which he would get his stuff back (pay your debts moron!).

What should I steal from the kids? I could hide away their Legos... Ah... I know, I could steal his Kirby game... That would show him! Alas, he's 7 and unable to be employed... Maybe I'll raid his college fund.
P.S. I would totally do this to a sibling though.

I'd maim anyone who tried to steal a Kirby game from me!

Nothing I guess. That probably is part of being a parent.

I once broke my mums glasses, by putting them on and pretending to be grandmum, when I was little, and she simply gave me a beating. I never broke her stuff again, but this kind of upbringing has a great influence on the tainted releationship which I have with my parents.

I guess the only right thing to do in such a situation is to kindly explain why liquids should never get close to any electronic device. A young xhild will certainly remember that for life.

Yeah, the drink episode happened months ago, I had him help clean up. Explained the rule about no food or drinks around the laptop. But the thing just up and died way later. Can't do anything about it now (discipline-wise) I don't think he even remembers, and that wouldn't be fair.
I got spankings as a kid... up until I turned to my mom and said in the nastiest voice my 6 year old self could muster, "That doesn't hurt!" She stopped spanking me at that point, though I did get a couple of face slaps into my teenage years... I do think they were somewhat deserved though Undecided Problems with being a smartass...

Oh, I'm sure he would be less than happy if I took Kirby away... Kind of scared to actually...

Sugary liquid and it's residue is like acid to circuit boards. It eats copper. I think it was your fault and you should punish yourself by having to spend a lot of money on a new PC :/

Ahhh... You forget, I'm a stay at home mom. I earn no money... It's my husband who suffers. He is displeased.

I feel for you Festive. I was stupid enough to drink red wine last Midsummer and my friend was stupid enough to take zir MacBook to a cottage full of drinking people. I wasn't even drunk, but yet somehow managed to spill the wine on the laptop. I had to pay ze 650 for the new one (the rest was covered by zir insurance) and an additional 80 for Office for Mac. Sad
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

What a nice friend you are, Kay! I have known many people who wouldn't have coughed up money to replace a friend's item they broke.
