I may be wrong but that's my understand. Please correct me if anyone knows better.
Well, GOP won't surprise me with anything but I doubt that they wouldn't allow abortion under medical emergency.

41% of us voted for Obama last presidential election. The old guard is dying off at a rapid pace and our youth are no more interested in religion that most other states in the Union.

We'll seem like a much different state in a couple decades.

I hope you're right and applaud your optimism, however, I do not share it.

Let's be reasonable about it though. Instead of spending money building a border fence, let's build a wall around Austin. No reason to punish the innocent.

I submit that at a price tag of $30 billion it would be more appropriate to refer to "the fence" as "the Maginot Line."

(Which would drive the Nutjobs up a wall!)

Our Church attendance is already lower than Alabama, Louisiana, South Carolina, Mississippi, Utah, Arkansas, Nebraska, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Oklahoma.

We're getting there.

So far, the courts have ruled against those laws every time anyone has tried to pass them. The Republicans are going to need them, too, if they really want to keep control of Texas. By far, the fastest growing population in TX is hispanics and they voted heavily towards democrats. The only reason they don't already run the state is that they traditionally don't turn out to vote. The Democrats are making a real effort to change that, and they're being helped with the quasi-racist shit being said from the right. I can easily see Texas turning purple within the next 4-8 years.
