If you notice in Texas we're blue down close to the border of Mexico because of the high number of hispanics. Most of those other blue counties around the state are where our major cities reside. Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.

If you compare this map to other maps displaying other demographic facts one will notice how the conservative eras are also the poorest and least educated.

Forgive me for applying my European standards here. I am from a place far far away, in which being conservative doesn`t mean that you are stupid, live in a paralel universe and all the other things which it means in the US.

The saddest part of it all is that by being so danged conservative they are voting against their own self-interest. They need social programs, but they are against them, They need quality education, but don't want their kids exposed to such horrible things as evolution. Go figure.

And if you compare it with most populated areas, you'll see why those little blue areas carry their states. If you live in a densely populated area, you know a greater diversity of people, you are less likely to be conservative, especially on social issues.
As to the OP, I wonder if she has kids... That would be an interesting twist. A "male" having babies... Gender bending at its finest.

How do you get to the age of 37 and not realize what your birth cert says?

It's been how many years since 9/11? I have had to bring mine out for various things. Could she really not have had to get it out in the past decade+ to see it, at least? And what about the 20 years before that?
