RE: A Question of Morality
I think the FSM such a fantastically omnibenevolent super-deity (that's right, not just a deity but a super-deity) that it is such an awesomely nice enough of a super-pasta monster that it, perhaps, believes that it's what's inside that counts. However you wish to worship it is good enough so long as it is sincere, on the other hand - if you worship it in a pasta-ritualistic way but you are insincere about it then you are a scoundrel and shall never drink from the beer fountain in the pasta-heaven!
P.S: However you choose to worship the FSM it must still invole pasta in some way. Duh, otherwise you're a sodding blasphemer. P.P.S: Just to note, always remember to stick with the FSM - it's not only omnibenevolent - a really nice (super-)deity to worship - but it also thinks you should do onto others how you would have them do onto you, which I think is an incredible insight that no other deity has even thought of. The FSM is original. The FSM is unique. ...and the FSM truly has it all. P.P.P.S: If I happen to have blasphemed the FSM. I will now go and stick a plastic fork in each of my hands (and then eat pasta). It is finished. EvF |

RE: A Question of Morality
Lol EvF,
That was funny and sacreligious. It would be interesting to watch you try to skewer yourself with plastic forks. Rhizo |

It's about an Irish family living in Limerick in the 1950's. There's an hilarious bit in the book where a kid vomits in the back yard after recently having been to communion. The mammy freaks thinking she has a small puddle of Jesus on her hands. The priest is obliged to verify this is not the case. That behaviour is pretty close to that of my dad's family. About age 4 I asked one of my beloved aunts;"What's communion? ". Her very sensible response,to a four year old; "it's a pill which makes you pray".The other would regularly withhold the weekly ration of candles from her statue of "Our Lady Of Mt Carmel" if Our Lady had failed to meet expectations that week. That darling, life long spinster aunt, was buried in the robes of a Carmelite nun. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Our_Lady_of_Mt._Carmel PS I once threw up my grandfather,at about age 3. (I've been told, I don't remember)--I sneaked a sip of his poteen. |
