You are so silly. Why did god create colds that we can catch? Once again: God sucks! He made all these inconvenient features to our bodies, and he also created pathogens. Vaccines, of course, were developed by evolutionary scientists.

The reason any of you have made your crazy statements is this, everything I've said about the design of throat and windpipe are true making it a good design and you can find no way to prove different. You four are childish trouble makers that care nothing for an intelligent conversation, all you care about is ridiculing Christians because of your disdain for what we live our lives for. And you call you're selves tolerant, that's the biggest joke of the day, no week... nope year.

I don't see what the problem is. God can't create someone who breathes out of their elbow? I thought it was omnipotent.

A good design, by whose standards? The human body is riddled with problems. 1-3 % of all babies ever born will have deformities requiring medical interventions. We're not even counting handicaps that show up later in life. We're not even counting miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies yet. The system is highly flawed. You seem to think that we can't do any better than god did? yea, but why are you limiting god's abilities to our level? we're humans.

I have only addressed the topic of breathing and swallowing and have shown that there are greater benefits to the design than flaws, I've purposely stayed away from the original created persons and the sin that followed so we would not get distracted. You don't like the fact that the design benefits man with much greater purpose, you want to beat on one thing instead of looking at the whole. And you all want to through up science to me, use it yourself, please.

By the way if we breathed through our elbow, wearing long sleeves would be a smothering experience, swimming would be an difficult activity. Breaking ones's arm would make it difficult to put a cast on, and believe me snotty sleeves would be nasty, unless your a kid forever. I know there are other disadvantages, but it's late and I can't think of any at the moment.

Yep, there it is again: The Argument Ad Hominem Fallacy.

And badwritersparty is correct, the throat and windpipe are pretty inconvenient features.

You're just afraid to address the argument you brought to the table, childish at least ignorant is most likely.

Ok, one problem at a time, fine by me.

It's not a fact. I don't dislike it, I disregard the idea because, it's not a fact. Enlighten me on this much greater purpose. Why would a baby be born with anencephaly and die within a day if not hours of its birth, what greater purpose does that serve? Or if you prefer to deal with the choking problem first, why do people choke to death, what's the greater purpose?

you don't get it. Just because no one on this forums can come up with a perfect idea doesn't make the system perfect. Because we found flaws. And god should be smarter than us, no?

None of those existed in the creation before the fall, God said of the creation, "it is good," He would not have said that if anything was wrong. Again you are unable to give me a better design, you brought up the argument, man up little boy and defend it with facts, I've defended my side with facts.

Stick to the topic. The greater purpose has nothing to do with chocking, it is the design that allows use to cough, have speech and ect. that's the benefits.

I did not say the system is perfect, you're doing like so many others, reading your idea into what I've said, why do you do this. You all can not come up with anything better much less perfect, all I'm asking for is something better. Yes God is smarter than we are that's why you will fail at trying to improve on this system. It is a system that accomplishes much without interfering with other parts of the body.

oh, so you do agree that the human body is not perfect. so your god purposefully created imperfect bodies or he's incapable of doing better? Which?

We can move onto other pieces of evidence that contradicts intelligent design if that will help you understand GC. We arn't trying to take the piss, we are pointing out flaws that we see. For example the laryngeal nerve or the appendix

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

Why? It's hardly an outrageous expectation of a designer god with literally infinite imagination. After all, insects, certain spiders and some types of fish breathe through holes in their skins or exoskeletons. Or what about photosynthesis, as in most plants and algae? Converting sunlight into chemical energy would remove the dangerous chewing and swallowing part from the equation altogether. Why should humans end up being fobbed off with a "design" that is potentially lethal to us?

Don't bother, because you haven't thought of one yet. Do you seriously, genuinely believe that humans would design clothing to fit the human body shape as it currently stands, in the event that human bodies were "designed" to a completelu different body plan? We would certainly have accomodated our breathing aperture, wherever it might be located, into the design of our clothing and other areas of oir lives. After all, how many items of clothing do you own that don't take your mouth and nose into consideration?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

You've actually defended your position with the Bible, which you previously stated you weren't going to use because you didn't want us throwing science your way. Now it's my turn to tell you that you have no idea that there weren't illnesses and diseases before the fall, for you cannot prove to us that there ever was a fall. So you may have defended your point, but it wasn't with fact; it was with fiction.

I did come up with something better when I made fun of you with my burrito analogy: I mentioned breathing through your ears. I think that would be a better design, don't you? Or perhaps we should be able to respirate in a number of ways: through ones mouth, skin, ears, nose, elbows...you name it. Add gills to the mix, and we can now breathe underwater too! Man...it's amazing God didn't think of all this. I suppose I'm smarter than he is.

My pet goldfish is smarter than this "God" is.
