How much money a year do you need to live?

@Gilgamesh, it's the rent. Depending on where you have to live for your work/school, it gets expensive.

I dunno'. I've grown accustomed to assuming that "I have to ____" in this context really means "I can't walk more than 20 minutes a day/I don't want to cook my own food/I'm incredibly materialistic and can't live without all the things society tells me I need."

There are two people and a dog in my household (not counting the roommate). I'm confused by what you mean by "the game is optional", though.

My only bills are rent, car insurance, gas (I fill up my tank once a month), phone, food (I cook most days... I love it), and utilities. My rent alone is about $14,000 a year, and I have a roommate.

I meant the city you have to live in. There are people who commute total of 3-4 hours a day to and from work/school just for cheaper rent prices though. Cos you pay less and get bigger places if you live further away from the city.

If you want to live in a cardboard box under an overpass you can probably get by on a couple of bucks a day.

In fact, that seems to be the ultimate end game for the bulk of the population as far as the republibertarianeo-conazis are concerned.

The things I need to spend money on is rent, food, other bills and meds. I could get by with 1 500€ per month (and support Scruffy, who's unemployed atm) and live comfortably according to my own standards.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

A politician in the UK touted £25 (38.5USD) a week on food. I can happily manage that. I manage without my own transport. My house is about paid off. I'll have to go check my bills..

I can cut my expenses down to a very low rate. I am certainly capable of living from 600 Euros a month, maybe even 500.

But currently I have alot of money so I dont need to cut down on anything Big Grin

I don't need money, I can simply go and live with one of my relatives if I wanted to.
