Non-creationists, show me your creations!!!

RE: Non-creationists, show me your creations!!!
A couple years ago, I decided to build a guitar from a kit. It's a Saga copy of a Gibson SG. I decided to add a Bigsby vibrato which turned out to be about as expensive as the rest of the guitar turned out to be. The headstock is a rampant lion with the legend "F-slayer," inspired by this fanfic.

It's the one in the center.

I'm considering doing a copy of a Gibson Firebird next.

I made these in part. I had some help. I'd like to say I did most of the work, but the work was shared in equal participation. Anyway, I'm very proud. Came out great.

And one of them together a few months back, just so you can see how much older brother loves younger one. I helped encourage that, so I take some blame for it. I guess I sort of made this, too. Big Grin

@ Rev. Rye, that's pretty cool! It's never occurred to me before that you could buy a kit and build your own guitar... Though in hindsight I watch How It's Made so it shouldn't be that big a shocker... :p

@ Fifth Element, what rendering/modeling program(s) did you use? That looks really good! I did my final studio project when I was in architecture school in Sketchup and rendered with SU Podium.

@ Ivy, the face-squish on the little one in the bottom photo is precious!

Lightwave 10 for rendering, I stopped buying upgrades since ver.10 cuz it became ridiculously expensive to do so...

Not big fan of Sketchup, I prefer Silo as modeling environment, much cleaner then anything else I ever tried, still upgrading Vue though, love rendering in it as well Big Grin

I'm a big fan of riding bikes in the summer. I prefer Beach Cruisers. I enjoy being able to attach a cupholder to the handlebars and using it as my mode of transportation while bar-hopping. Sometime back I started a hobby of taking them apart and fixing them up. There's a huge market for them where I live, and people are often willing to pay good money for an original looking bike to ride for the same reasons above. Here's one I found in the bushes. I put just under 100 dollars into it, and ended up selling it for $300.00. I liked this bike a lot.

This was the picture I used for my ad when I posted it online for sale. I took it down to the beach before work, but I did't think about the fact that the sun would be rising at that time, making it hard to take a good picture. I love that this is at the end of my street!

Neat, I've got an Art & Lutherie as well, nice guitars (although mine isn't as sexy as yours it still sounds great).

Sketchup may not be a totally fantastic program but the one thing it is is FREE and that's music to a broke college students' ears. Big Grin

I'll have to look into Lightwave if I ever return to rendering; yours look really great. Smile
