RE: Ladies, are you Atheists?
I am slightly tempted to grill you for the expectations comment Smile But I really don't think it would be worth my time Smile Amorpha nailed the idea.

Sounds incredibly boring. Was hoping for something.

Anyhow nothing I wrote was seriously meant, just so no-one misunderstod it.

How about, Giff you're a pig. Does that make you feel better?
I'm a girl and an atheist. I've been married for 17 years and my husband is an atheist. I have 2 sons, my youngest, 16, is an atheist and my oldest I thought was a bit agnostic, but saw a post on myspace saying he was praying to god that things work out. WTF? He's having a bit of marital difficulty, completely his own fault, so he think some imaginary guy will help. Why is it when some people have marital difficulties they have to turn to god like that is going to do a damn thing? I didn't raise him right I guessSad I'm so disappointing in myself.

Because it beats having to face the fact that they are the problem?

Binny,

Hey the fact that he was able to choose something you didn't directly teach him shows that you raised him to have a brain of his own.

Min,

Too right! Much of what I hear people pray for could be handled much quicker by decisive action rather than waiting for god to do something.

Yep, I'm female and an Atheist. And the man I'm with now is probably Atheist as well, but he could care otherwise.

It shows that he can choose... not that he can choose rationally Wink He'll learn, or so we can hope. o.o

Belief/disbelief isn't really a matter of choice.

In that case, it shows that he can believe utter nonsense on his own Smile Hopefully he'll stop believing it on his own too Smile
