Oh I know, introduce her to the show the Mentalist. It's a fun mystery type show and it shows why psychics are bullshit. That way you can say that psychics are bullshit without saying psychics are bullshit.

If my husband wanted to do this I would simply refuse to go. I'm all for supporting my spouse and doing things that he enjoys etc but I will draw the line at certain things and that would be one of them. There is no circumstance under which I would go to a psychic.

Like maybe if you know a few days before where you're going, you can go there secretly and case the joint. (Because apparently I think you're a gangster from the 1940s...) Learn some thing about her and her practice. Maybe turn it around a bit.

Or maybe when she starts making statements or asking questions, lie on a lot of the answers.

Thank you for the delightful and entertaining responses everyone! Sadly, I have told the wife she can go, but with one condition. I will be going to the meeting with her, and we will then discuss afterwards.

It was a bitter debate between the wife and I with me compromising. If it is SO important to her, I relented and decided that one time possibly couldn't hurt. But I will put my foot down, should I see this become a recurring pattern. I will keep you informed on the meeting.
