Australian election thoughts

Australian election thoughts
Fellow Aussies please share your thoughts about the forthcoming federal election.

Here are some of mine;

Firstly, I would have never guessed that a party which calls itself the Sex Party has most rational policies of any of the parties standing candidates at this election. Therefore the Sex Party has my vote.

Better marketing?
Marketing 101: Sex sells.

Ldp>shooters & fishers...>nationals>liberals>...... Labor>greens.... the 20 or so socialist parties

I think it's better to vote for as many 3rd parties as you can stomach before the big guys. We have a preferential voting system, we should make use of it.

I don't know much about Australia but many Americans are very uptight about sex.

The ones who aren't spend more time fucking than voting.

Anyway for various reasons I decided to vote early at the early voting center in Frankston. So I can say I have voted 1 for the Australian Greens and preferenced Labor ahead of the Coalition.

Australian sex party for me(if they have a candidate in my area. And if they don't I might run for them next election)

Totally gone off Abbot and the Liberal party, since they apparently have become a front for the Catholic Church and Rupert Murdoch.

RE: Australian election thoughts
I am lucky in my electorate because there is an Australian Sex Party member running for the house of reps. I will be for the first time voting under the line in the senate election, 110 preferences, shit.

Edit: Thanks also to Justristo for the link to the Australian Sex Party. I certainly do like their policies.

RE: Australian election thoughts
Holy fucking christ how have I not put the sex party higher on my vote before now? Tongue

Well, I can't stomach putting the coalition anywhere near the top spot, so... hey.
