Creationists who push the teaching of Intelligent Design as in the science curriculum most certainly are trying to have power and control. They want their children to believe creationism and if they go to school where their children are taught evolution then creationism is challenged and they can't have that. There can be no debate about evolution and creation. Evolution is a supported scientific fact and natural selection is the theory behind it. Creationism is a story with no scientific fact.
Science in general threaten's anyone's ability to reason, which in turn threaten's their ability to believe the earth is 6000 years old. |

I don't think science threatens someone's ability to reason. I think it gives you the tools to reason the truth.
