Certainly true for me. I'm an atheist first and foremost because I am completely ignorant of 'god'. But I don't assume that I am ignorant of anything real. If any gods show themselves to me I suppose I'd no longer be an atheist. Same goes for Nessy, unicorns and fairies at the bottom of the garden.. My ignorance isn't necessarily a permanent condition nor am I wed to it. But it is what it is and I'm not interested in listening to anyone's testimony of how they came to believe in the extraordinary things which are not commonplace.

I actually work with a Young Earth Creationist....found that out when I got chided for commenting that the dinosaurs were wiped out by an asteroid 65 million years ago (I knew it was a mistake the moment I said it), with him stating that the dinosaurs lived with humans 6,000 years ago (I just walked away and went back to my work). Despite all that BS of his, my coworker is still more intelligent than Cijin. That's fucking pathetic, seriously fucking pathetic.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
