Aloha from the big island.

RE: Aloha from the big island.
I have a friend that lives there, and he hates the fact that everything is so expensive.

If you get the chance, whateverist, I recommend hopping over to Kauai and taking one of their helicopter tours. They'll take you to the place where they filmed the waterfall that was the ladning spot of the island in "Jurassic Park."
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Kaneohe Bay on O'ahu is where they filmed Gilligan's Island. You will see a small island you can swim too.... bam! Three Island Tour!

Could you make pics of the women on the beach?

Do not go to WAIKIKI. Yes, there are hot women in bikinis, but old farts in thongs too! I want to cut off the part of the brain that stores those images!

RE: Aloha from the big island.
I only came across one mega-babe at the beach with mega-boobs ensconced in a hot pink bikini (which I suspect could serve as a floatation device in a pinch). *cough, cough, (fake), cough*

We're staying at an upscale resort on the Kona side occupied mostly by other old farts and young professionals with little kids. One of the good things about becoming an old fart is most women look pretty good to me. Another good thing is just how good my junk looks in a thong. The young guys always turn green with envy when they get a glimpse. Well something is turning them green.

Beautiful pictures! I'm guessing you have a ton of plants you now would like to grow in your own garden(?) Big Grin
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Lia was done with the conference yesterday so we drove to the World botanical garden and waterfall. Disappointing. My camera rarely came out of my pocket. The waterfalls were the only redeeming feature. The 'gardens' had all the charm of the Home Depot nursery rows.

So I took the Mrs. to the garden I visited two days ago. It looked a lot different on a mostly overcast day between showers. Still beautiful of course but a hell of a lot more challenging to photograph. All the photos below are from there.

Then we had lunch at the same little momma/poppa joint before going to Hilo to see the zoo. As soon as we got in the car to go the sky opened up and poured. We were treated to a lightening storm as we drove over the saddle road back to the Kona side.
