Another reason to abandon the abrahamic religions

RE: Another reason to abandon the abrahamic religions
It doesn't happen every day. In this guy's case it was because he was bragging about it.

Which basically makes it suicide.

Not to deny the fact that rapes do happen in prison or to belittle anybody who has suffered prison rape, according to this piece written by a former prison guard, most prison sex is consensual. Granted it's posted on a comedy website but the articles are generally serious in nature, if not in tone.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

If by consensual you mean "be my bitch or get shanked and assraped (no particular order) by that dude over there", then sure. Totally consensual.

Oh and it doesn't happen every day so that's ok
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Did you read the article? I'm not in a position to comment either way, never having been inside, so the best I can offer is the point of view of someone who has worked there. Of course, it may be completely wrong on every point, or it may indeed be an accurate reflection of prison life; which is why I chose the phrase "according to this article" with precision.

I did read it StimboWink Now if you went to jail and knew you could be hurt raped or killed by any number of career convicts in an overpopulated prison system, wouldn't you suck a cock and be a girlfriend in exchange for protection from that person? He'd know you were doing what you don't want to do per se, and you'd know you were doing it to survive. Its rape in my eyes if you have no other choice.

I think the article was approaching it from the angle of men, with all the lusts, appetites and desires endemic to our gender, locked into a confined and finite space for years on end without access to female assistance (not counting the percentage who are gay by nature). As a result, in such an unnatural environment even the straightest male could conceivably consent to same-sex encounters (please note that I said the environment is unnatural, not the encounters. That's a fundamental distinction). Yes, there are going to be power- and dominance-motivated incidents of the kind you describe; the piece was suggesting they may be more the exception than the rule when it comes to sex in prison.

Celebrity cockney villain Dave Courtney, who has done time inside, said in interview that the two biggest soul-destroyers in prison are far too much time and lack of privacy; basically he was referring to the limited opportunities to be alone for sexual relief. Though he didn't elaborate on the same-sex thing, to my knowledge, it doesn't take much of a leap to consider how common it might be for cellmates to take care of one another after lockup.

Why aren't they castrating these people that aren't supposed to have sex? That should help, shouldn't it? Granted rape isn't always about lust, but it must play a part in it. All these religious leaders that are supposed to be celibate should be eunuchs.

Why not cut off the hands of who aren't supposed to steal?

Cutting someone's balls off won't hinder anything except intercourse, which they aren't supposed to do. This isn't like cutting off hands.

You don't think they're serious about that do you?
